AI/ML Engineer — NLP

Aether Intelligence is building the next generation of multilingual NLP tools for the European legal-tech market. We are seeking a Lead AI/ML Engineer to own the end-to-end lifecycle of our language models — from data pipeline design and model training to production deployment and monitoring.

You will lead a cross-functional squad of ML engineers and data scientists, set technical direction for the NLP platform, and collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into model capabilities. Key focus areas include transformer-based architectures, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and fine-tuning large language models for domain-specific tasks.

We require 8+ years of experience in machine learning with at least 3 years focused on NLP. Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, or Weights & Biases) is essential. Experience with multilingual models and EU data governance requirements (GDPR-compliant training data) is a significant advantage.
